How do I join the society?
General auditions to join the society are held in September of each year.
How much does it cost to be a member of the society and what does my membership include?
Current membership fee (2023) is £80, paid annually, and includes society logo t-shirt and all involvement in that year’s show.
Do I have to audition to be a member of the society?
General auditions entail performing a song of your choice with sheet music.
Do I need to be able to read music to be a member of the society?
This is not essential, but is definitely a bonus!
Do I need to have previous theatrical experience to audition to be a member of the society?
No, we welcome new members with any level of experience.
When are your shows?
The dates are different each year, but the shows always take place in early March.
Where do you perform your shows?
Our shows are performed in the Billingham Forum Theatre.
Are children able to join the society?
Our minimum joining age is 16, although we do perform shows with specific roles for children. These roles are auditioned separately.

Where and when do you rehearse?
Rehearsals take place in Middlesbrough College, TS2 1AD, initially on Tuesday nights and then the additional Sunday afternoons, Wednesday nights, and Thursday nights as the time of the show approaches.
Where can I buy tickets to the show?
Tickets can be purchased from the Billingham Forum Theatre Box Office, or via the online box office.
Can I be involved in the society but not as a performer?
We have various non-performing roles including Under-16 Chaperone, Backstage Crew, and Front of House Staff to name a few.
